Junior Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Junior Accountant to join their finance team, operating remotely and serving clients across the UK. This is an ideal entry-level position for a recent graduate or someone with foundational accounting knowledge looking to build a solid career in finance. You will support senior accountants with various tasks, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative virtual environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Process and reconcile various financial transactions, including bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support the accounts payable and receivable functions as needed.
• Help maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with the preparation of tax documentation and filings.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team and respond to basic financial queries.

Requirements

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting .
