Junior Animator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Junior Animator to join their growing creative department in Derby . You will be responsible for bringing characters and objects to life through captivating animation, contributing to exciting projects within the entertainment sector. Working under the guidance of senior animators, you will learn and apply industry-standard animation techniques to create fluid and expressive motion. Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D or 3D animations for characters, props, and environments based on storyboards and direction.
• Collaborate with the animation supervisor and other team members to achieve artistic and technical goals.
• Incorporate feedback from reviews to refine and improve animation sequences.
• Ensure animations adhere to project style guides and technical requirements.
• Assist with asset preparation and integration into the animation pipeline.

Requirements

• A degree or certification in Animation, Film, or a related field, or a strong portfolio showcasing animation skills.
• Proficiency with animation software such as Adobe Animate, After Effects, Maya, Blender, or similar.
• Understanding of animation principles , timing, and motion dynamics.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating engaging character performance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn and grow in a studio setting.
