A medium-sized multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a Junior/Assistant Civil Engineer to join its Cambridge team.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer with at least 1 year of experience looking to develop their career across a range of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects, with exposure to drainage, highways, SuDS and flood risk.
The Role
Supporting the design of highways, drainage and infrastructure schemes. Assisting with SuDS, surface water and flood risk solutions. Working on S278 and S38 schemes. Producing drawings, calculations and technical documentation. Using AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop designs. Liaising with clients, developers, architects and local authorities. Working to relevant standards including Manual for Streets, SuDS Manual, Sewers for Adoption and DMRB. Developing technical and project coordination skills alongside senior engineers.About You
BEng, MEng, MSc or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. 1+ years' relevant experience, ideally within a consultancy. Experience or knowledge of drainage, highways, SuDS and/or flood risk. Familiarity with AutoCAD, with Civil 3D advantageous. Good communication and teamwork skills. Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop. Interest in working towards ICE professional accreditation.Benefits
