Junior Chemical Engineer - Process Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Junior Chemical Engineer to join their innovative Process Development team. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of new chemical processes, conducting literature reviews and preliminary calculations.
• Support laboratory experiments and pilot plant trials, collecting and analyzing process data.
• Help prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Conduct basic process simulations and sensitivity analyses under supervision.
• Contribute to technical report writing and the documentation of process development activities.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and other team members in a remote setting to achieve project milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong academic foundation in chemical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual team.
