Junior Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Chemical Process Engineer to join their growing team in Derby . Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in process design and development activities.
• Perform engineering calculations and process simulations under supervision.
• Support the creation and updating of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Participate in process hazard analyses and site safety reviews.
• Gather and analyze process data to identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to technical report writing and documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles and unit operations.
• Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a hybrid work structure in Derby .
