Junior Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Chemical Process Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate to develop their skills in a supportive and challenging environment. You will assist senior engineers in the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes, gaining exposure to various aspects of chemical engineering. The role requires a keen interest in process technology, a commitment to safety, and a desire to learn and grow within a reputable chemical company.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and modification of chemical process equipment and P&IDs.
• Support senior engineers in conducting process simulations and data analysis.
• Participate in site surveys and data collection for process improvement projects.
• Help prepare technical documentation, including reports and operating procedures.
• Learn and apply process safety principles in daily tasks.
• Collaborate with technicians and operators on the plant floor.

Requirements

• BSc or equivalent in Chemical Engineering .
• Strong academic background with a keen interest in process design and optimization.
• Familiarity with basic chemical engineering principles and unit operations .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with simulation software is a plus.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
