Junior CNC CAD/CAM Programmer

Trident Recruitment is recruiting for an Apprentice / Junior CNC CAD/CAM Programmer to join an advanced engineering and manufacturing company with innovation at its core.

The company draws on its team’s extensive Formula 1 experience. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring engineer to develop practical machining, design and programming skills within a technically advanced environment.

The opportunity

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will learn to:

Set up and operate CNC machinery, progressing towards 5-axis machining.

*

Develop CAD/CAM programming skills.

*

Use CAD software to create and modify designs.

*

Read engineering drawings and understand machining requirements.

*

Select tooling and understand machining strategies.

*

Inspect components and work to precision engineering standards.

About you

This role would suit a junior engineer, engineering graduate or someone at the beginning of their CNC career who is keen to learn.

Ideally, you will have:

An HNC in engineering or a mechanical engineering degree.

*

A strong interest in CNC machining, CAD design and manufacturing.

*

Good attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.

*

A positive attitude and willingness to develop new skills.

Any exposure to CAD software, CNC machinery or engineering projects would be beneficial.
