Junior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Junior Industrial Engineer to join their operational team in Stoke-on-Trent . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or an engineer with a few years of experience to develop their skills in a practical, hands-on environment. You will support senior engineers in analyzing manufacturing processes, implementing improvements, and ensuring operational efficiency. This role is crucial for developing the next generation of engineering talent within the organization, offering comprehensive training and exposure to various aspects of industrial engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in analyzing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for optimization.
• Support the implementation of process improvements, including Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
• Help develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Collect and analyze production data to monitor performance and identify trends.
• Participate in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement activities.
• Provide support for shop-floor activities, troubleshooting minor process issues under supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 0-3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and problem-solving techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Strong desire to learn and develop skills in industrial engineering.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
