Junior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Industrial Engineer to join their team based in Belfast . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain practical experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will support senior engineers in analyzing production processes, implementing improvements, and ensuring operational efficiency. Working closely with experienced professionals, you will develop foundational skills in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and data analysis, contributing to the company's continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing production workflows, identifying areas for waste reduction and efficiency gains.
• Support the implementation of lean manufacturing tools and techniques on the shop floor.
• Collect and organize production data for performance analysis and reporting.
• Help develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions.
• Contribute to capacity planning and resource allocation exercises under the guidance of senior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of fundamental industrial engineering principles and lean manufacturing concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to work in a team-oriented setting.
