About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Industrial Engineer to join their team in Portsmouth . You will work closely with senior engineers, assisting in the analysis, design, and implementation of process improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in analyzing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Conduct data collection and basic analysis to support process optimization initiatives.
- Help design and implement process changes, including documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing tools and techniques on the shop floor.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and assist in troubleshooting production issues.
- Prepare reports and presentations on process performance and findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- 0-2 years of experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing role.
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards taking on new challenges.
