About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded Junior Mechanical Engineer Apprentice to join their engineering department in Nottingham . This apprenticeship provides an excellent foundation in mechanical engineering principles and practical applications. You will work on diverse projects, learning design, analysis, and manufacturing processes under the guidance of experienced engineers. This role is ideal for someone with a strong aptitude for maths and science, a desire to solve complex problems, and a passion for creating and improving mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software.
- Support engineers in conducting performance analysis and testing of prototypes.
- Learn to prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Participate in the manufacturing and assembly processes, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Help troubleshoot design or production issues and contribute to solutions.
- Gain experience in various engineering disciplines, including thermodynamics, materials science, and fluid mechanics.
Requirements
- A strong academic background with good grades in Maths and Science subjects.
- A keen interest in mechanical engineering and problem-solving.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles or relevant coursework.
