About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Product Developer to join their innovative product development team in Norwich . This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to the creation and enhancement of a wide range of FMCG products. You will work closely with senior developers, R&D scientists, and marketing teams to develop new product formulations, conduct testing, and ensure products meet quality, safety, and market requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the formulation and development of new FMCG products from concept to market launch, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and bench trials to test product formulations, ingredients, and prototypes.
- Support product stability, performance, and sensory testing, documenting results accurately.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and regulatory teams to ensure product compliance and alignment with market needs.
- Prepare samples for internal and external evaluation, including customer feedback sessions.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including ingredient lists, manufacturing instructions, and product specifications.
Requirements
- Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- 0-2 years of experience in product development, R&D, or a technical role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Strong understanding of basic chemistry, formulation principles, and product development processes.
- Excellent laboratory skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of specific formulation software is a plus.
