Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Purchasing Assistant to support their procurement team in Leeds . This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to start their career in purchasing, providing crucial support in daily operational tasks. You will assist with processing purchase orders, communicating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate procurement records, working within a hybrid model that combines office-based collaboration with remote flexibility. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, pricing, and delivery dates.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date procurement files and databases.
- Support senior procurement staff with data collection and analysis for supplier reviews.
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding order status and delivery schedules.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business or a related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of purchasing principles or a strong desire to learn.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
