Key Account Manager - FMCG

Our client is seeking a proactive and relationship-focused Key Account Manager to join their team, managing significant client relationships within the FMCG sector in the Reading area. This role involves nurturing and expanding business with existing key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving profitable growth. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and maximise profitability.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure seamless customer service delivery.
• Analyse account performance, market trends, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional terms with key clients.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar sales role, preferably in FMCG .
• Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and achieving sales objectives.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with sales forecasting.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a hybrid working arrangement.
