About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced educator to take on the role of Key Stage Coordinator for Key Stage 1 at their primary school in Portsmouth . This role is central to ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of education for children aged 5-7. You will lead a team of dedicated teachers and support staff, oversee curriculum implementation, and contribute to the overall positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the teaching and learning within Key Stage 1, ensuring high standards are met.
• Coordinate the development and implementation of the KS1 curriculum, assessment, and reporting.
• Support and mentor teachers and teaching assistants within the key stage.
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to ensure all children achieve their potential.
• Liaise with parents and carers to foster strong home-school partnerships.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Demonstrable leadership or coordination experience within a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of early years and primary curriculum frameworks.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
