Primary School Teacher - Key Stage 2

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join their Key Stage 2 team in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum to students aged 7-11, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development. This role requires a creative approach to teaching, the ability to inspire young minds, and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will work collaboratively with a supportive team of educators dedicated to providing an outstanding education.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lesson plans across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing regular feedback.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student well-being and progress.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Education or a relevant subject with a teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching at the primary school level, preferably in Key Stage 2.
• Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for fostering a love of learning in young children.
