Landscape Gardener

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Landscape Gardener to join their team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role involves the design, installation, and maintenance of beautiful and functional gardens and outdoor spaces for residential and commercial clients. You will work hands-on with a variety of plants, hardscaping materials, and equipment to transform outdoor areas into aesthetically pleasing and sustainable environments. This is a physically demanding role for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys creating lasting beauty in the outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement landscape designs, including planting, lawn installation, and constructing features like patios and pathways.
• Perform regular garden maintenance, including pruning, weeding, mulching, and seasonal clean-ups.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and machinery, such as mowers, strimmers, and blowers.
• Identify and treat common plant diseases and pest infestations.
• Advise clients on plant care and basic garden maintenance.
• Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, meeting client expectations and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a gardener or landscape operative.
• Good knowledge of plant types, soil conditions, and planting techniques.
• Proficiency in using gardening tools and power equipment.
• Understanding of basic hardscaping principles (patios, walls, etc.) is a plus.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
• A valid UK driving license is preferred.
