Lead Air Traffic Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and certified Lead Air Traffic Controller to join their remote operations team. This critical role involves overseeing the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic within assigned airspace, utilizing advanced communication and surveillance systems. You will be responsible for coordinating with pilots, managing flight plans, and ensuring adherence to all air traffic control procedures and regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage air traffic flow in designated airspace, ensuring separation between aircraft.
• Communicate effectively with pilots via radio, providing clearances, advisories, and critical safety information.
• Monitor radar displays, flight progress strips, and other surveillance systems to maintain situational awareness.
• Collaborate with other controllers, supervisors, and relevant aviation authorities to manage complex traffic situations and emergencies.
• Train and mentor junior air traffic controllers, providing guidance on procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all air traffic control regulations, standards, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Valid and current Air Traffic Controller license with relevant ratings.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in air traffic control.
• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and make critical decisions in complex, time-sensitive situations.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, airspace management , and control procedures.
• Excellent communication, situational awareness, and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role is strongly preferred.
