About the Role

Our client, a prominent architectural firm with a strong portfolio in commercial development, is seeking an experienced Lead Architect to join their team in Wolverhampton . This hybrid role offers the chance to lead significant commercial projects from concept through to completion, working with a talented team to deliver innovative and functional spaces. You will be responsible for design leadership, client liaison, and ensuring technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for commercial architecture and a desire to contribute to the evolving built environment in the West Midlands .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for commercial projects, ensuring adherence to client briefs and project objectives.
• Manage project teams, providing guidance and technical oversight.
• Develop and present design proposals to clients, stakeholders, and planning authorities.
• Oversee the technical coordination and documentation for construction.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, standards, and sustainability requirements.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Architect (ARB/RIBA) with substantial experience in commercial architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and manage design teams effectively.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and other relevant design and visualization software.
• Strong understanding of commercial building typologies, construction methods, and market trends.
• Excellent leadership, client management, and negotiation skills, based in or near Wolverhampton .
