About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Architect to spearhead a range of high-profile projects from their Newcastle upon Tyne office. As the Lead Architect, you will be responsible for the overall design direction, team leadership, and client liaison, driving projects from inception through to completion. This pivotal role requires a strong design sensibility, excellent project management skills, and the ability to inspire and guide a talented team of designers and technologists. You will be instrumental in shaping the firm's design output and contributing to its reputation for architectural excellence in the North East region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and development of innovative architectural designs for diverse project types.
• Manage project teams, delegate tasks, and oversee the quality of design and technical documentation.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
• Ensure projects adhere to budget, schedule, and regulatory requirements.
• Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, encouraging professional growth within the team.

Requirements

• Qualified Architect with significant post-qualification experience, holding ARB/RIBA registration.
• Demonstrable track record of leading complex projects from concept to completion.
• Exceptional design skills, with a portfolio showcasing creative and technically proficient work.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD or similar advanced BIM software and graphic presentation tools.
• Strong understanding of UK planning laws, building regulations, and construction processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
