Lead Architect

About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced and visionary Lead Architect to spearhead innovative design projects in Birmingham . This role is pivotal in driving the design direction of our firm, working on a spectrum of exciting new builds and regeneration schemes. You will be instrumental in shaping the aesthetic and functional aspects of our projects, while also providing leadership and mentorship to our talented architectural team. This position offers a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on design, embodying our commitment to creating sustainable and impactful built environments within a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire design process from initial concept through to construction documentation for major projects.
• Lead and inspire a team of architects and designers, fostering a collaborative and creative studio environment.
• Develop innovative and sustainable design solutions that meet client briefs and exceed expectations.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, maintaining high standards of architectural quality.
• Represent the firm in client meetings, public consultations, and at project stakeholder engagements.
• Conduct site visits and liaise with contractors to ensure design intent is realized during construction.

Requirements

• Registered Architect with a professional degree in Architecture.
• Significant experience (8+ years) in leading architectural projects, preferably in the UK.
• Expertise in architectural design software such as Revit , AutoCAD, and 3D modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning laws, building regulations, and construction methods.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead design teams effectively.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
