About the Role

Our client is a forward-thinking architectural practice seeking a visionary Lead Architectural Designer to spearhead innovative design concepts from a remote capacity. You will be responsible for guiding design development on a range of projects, fostering creativity and pushing the boundaries of contemporary architectural expression. This role requires a strong conceptual thinker with exceptional design flair and the ability to translate ambitious ideas into compelling visualisations and compelling design narratives. Working entirely remotely, you will collaborate with teams and clients across the UK and internationally, contributing to the firm's reputation for cutting-edge design and architectural excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual design phase for new projects, developing innovative and contextually responsive architectural solutions.
• Create high-quality design presentations, including sketches, 3D models, and renderings, to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Mentor and inspire junior designers, providing guidance and constructive feedback throughout the design process.
• Collaborate remotely with project teams, clients, and consultants to ensure design coherence and project success.
• Stay abreast of emerging design trends, materials, and technologies to continually elevate the practice's design output.
• Contribute to design strategy and development of the firm's design portfolio and research initiatives.

Requirements

• Significant experience in architectural design, with a proven track record of leading design on significant projects.
• Exceptional portfolio showcasing a strong design sensibility, creativity, and a range of project types.
• Advanced proficiency in design software such as Rhino , Grasshopper, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of articulating complex design concepts clearly.
• Experience in managing design teams and processes within a remote or distributed work environment.
• A passion for innovation and a deep understanding of architectural theory and history.
