About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Lead Architectural Designer to spearhead design initiatives for their projects based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This senior role involves leading design teams, conceptualizing striking architectural solutions, and driving projects from initial vision to detailed design phases. You will be a key player in shaping the aesthetic and functional aspects of our clients' developments, ensuring creative excellence and commercial viability. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual design process for a variety of architectural projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design development.
- Develop creative and innovative design solutions that meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and mentor a team of architectural designers and technologists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Prepare and present design proposals, presentations, and visualizations to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure design quality, coherence, and compliance with project briefs and technical standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and consultants to integrate engineering and construction considerations into the design.
Requirements
- A degree in Architecture or a related design field, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative design talent.
- Significant experience in architectural design, with a proven track record of leading design projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD , Revit , and 3D modeling/rendering software (e.g., SketchUp, V-Ray).
- Excellent understanding of architectural principles, design theory, and contemporary architectural trends.
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience working within a UK architectural practice is highly advantageous.
