About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative and experienced Lead Architectural Designer to spearhead design excellence within their established practice in Coventry . This role demands a creative visionary capable of leading design teams from initial concept development through to detailed design, ensuring a high standard of design quality and innovation across all projects. You will play a crucial part in shaping the firm's design ethos and mentoring junior designers. This position offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, fostering a dynamic work environment that values both in-person synergy and focused independent work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire design teams to produce high-quality, creative, and technically sound architectural designs.
• Develop conceptual designs, feasibility studies, and design development packages for a variety of project types.
• Present design proposals to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies with confidence and clarity.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, consultants, and construction teams to ensure design intent is realized.
• Maintain design quality control and adherence to project briefs and budgets throughout the design lifecycle.

Requirements

• A degree in Architecture or a related design field, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful design leadership.
• Significant experience in architectural design, with a proven track record of leading projects from inception to completion.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD , SketchUp , and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent understanding of architectural principles, design theory, and relevant planning legislation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
