About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and visionary Lead Architectural Designer to spearhead design initiatives for their diverse projects in Coventry . This senior position involves leading design teams, shaping creative concepts, and ensuring the successful execution of architectural visions that are both aesthetically compelling and functionally sound. You will play a pivotal role in client engagement, design development, and the coordination of all design-related activities, contributing significantly to the firm's continued success and innovation in the field of architecture, particularly within the Midlands region, fostering a creative and collaborative design studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and development of innovative architectural designs for a range of project types.
• Manage and mentor a team of architects and designers, fostering a high-performance and creative culture.
• Oversee the preparation of design presentations, drawings, and specifications for client and stakeholder review.
• Ensure design integrity and quality control throughout all project phases, from initial concept to construction documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project progression and compliance.
• Stay abreast of emerging design trends, sustainable practices, and new technologies to integrate into projects.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification, with a strong portfolio showcasing design leadership.
• Substantial experience (7+ years) in architectural design, with a proven track record of leading significant projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including 3D modeling and visualization tools (e.g., Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion).
• Excellent understanding of architectural principles, design theory, and UK planning and building regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and present design proposals effectively.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to inspire and guide design teams.
