About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and proactive Lead Architectural Technologist to join their forward-thinking practice in Southampton . In this senior role, you will take ownership of the technical design aspects of diverse projects, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to building regulations. You will lead a team of technologists, provide technical guidance, and collaborate closely with architects and project managers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical design process for various architectural projects.
• Develop and oversee the production of detailed construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Mentor and guide a team of architectural technologists, fostering their professional development.
• Ensure all technical designs comply with UK building regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Implement and champion the use of BIM and other advanced technologies within the design process.

Requirements

• Significant experience (8+ years) as an Architectural Technologist, with proven leadership experience.
• A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Expert proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and other relevant design and documentation software.
• In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in mentoring junior team members and managing technical workflows.
