About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Architectural Technologist to spearhead technical design and project delivery in their growing Birmingham office. This role is crucial for translating architectural concepts into robust, buildable solutions, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. You will play a key part in managing the technical aspects of projects, coordinating with various stakeholders, and mentoring a team of technologists. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and detailing for a portfolio of architectural projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
• Develop and manage the production of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Building Information Modelling (BIM) models.
• Coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to resolve technical queries and ensure smooth project progression.
• Conduct thorough technical reviews and quality assurance checks on design documentation and construction processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architectural technologists and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Requirements

• A qualification in Architectural Technology, HNC/HND or equivalent, coupled with extensive practical experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist, with demonstrable experience leading technical teams and projects.
• Expert proficiency in BIM software , particularly Revit, and a strong understanding of 2D CAD applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK building codes, construction best practices, and materials science.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple technical tasks concurrently in a demanding project environment.
