About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead Architectural Technologist to spearhead technical design and delivery for exciting projects in Birmingham . This role demands a deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulatory compliance, translating architectural designs into buildable solutions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the technical integrity and successful execution of projects, working closely with architects and construction teams to overcome challenges and deliver high-quality results in the heart of the West Midlands. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical designs, specifications, and construction documentation for architectural projects.
• Lead and mentor a team of architectural technologists and technicians, fostering best practices.
• Ensure all technical designs comply with current UK building regulations, planning conditions, and health and safety standards.
• Coordinate effectively with structural engineers, M&E consultants, and contractors to integrate various building systems.
• Conduct technical reviews of designs and construction proposals, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
• Manage the production and coordination of technical information throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or Degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Significant experience (8+ years) as an Architectural Technologist, with proven experience leading technical teams.
• Expert knowledge of Revit and other relevant CAD/BIM software.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction technologies, materials, and detailing.
• Strong grasp of UK building regulations, particularly within the Birmingham area.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a meticulous approach to documentation.
