Lead BIM Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and highly experienced Lead BIM Coordinator to oversee the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling processes for a range of significant projects in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless integration of design, construction, and operational data through advanced BIM strategies. You will lead a team of BIM specialists, driving best practices and standards across the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's BIM strategy and standards across all relevant projects.
• Lead and manage a team of BIM technicians and coordinators, ensuring project delivery to a high standard.
• Oversee the creation, management, and validation of BIM models and associated data throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and contractors to ensure effective BIM adoption and utilization.
• Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and workflows.
• Conduct regular model audits and clash detection analyses to identify and resolve design conflicts.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a BIM Coordinator or management role, preferably within an architectural or construction environment.
• Expertise in BIM software such as Revit , Navisworks, and BIM 360.
• Strong understanding of COBie, ISO 19650, and other relevant BIM standards and protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
