Lead BIM Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Lead BIM Coordinator to drive the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across various projects in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for enhancing design collaboration, improving project efficiency, and ensuring data accuracy throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for setting BIM standards, providing training, and overseeing the coordination efforts for complex architectural and construction projects, working within a hybrid model that combines the benefits of in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement BIM execution plans and project-specific BIM strategies.
• Coordinate 3D models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP) to detect clashes and resolve design issues.
• Ensure adherence to BIM standards, protocols, and best practices across all projects.
• Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and workflows.
• Manage BIM data, ensuring its integrity and accessibility for project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a BIM Coordinator or Manager, preferably within an architectural or construction environment.
• Strong proficiency in BIM software such as Revit , Navisworks, and other related platforms.
• Deep understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and their practical application.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in managing federated models and conducting clash detection analysis.
