About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of scalable bioinformatics pipelines for diverse biological datasets.
• Manage and mentor a team of bioinformaticians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Collaborate with researchers to define analytical strategies, interpret results, and generate actionable insights.
• Implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models for biological data analysis and prediction.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in bioinformatics or computational biology, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role.
• Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) and experience with high-performance computing environments.
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
