Lead Chemical Engineer - Process Development

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the process development lifecycle for new and existing chemical products, from laboratory scale to pilot and full production.
• Develop and validate innovative chemical processes, focusing on yield improvement, cost reduction, and sustainability.
• Oversee process hazard analyses and risk assessments, ensuring the highest safety standards are met throughout development.
• Manage and mentor a team of chemical engineers and technicians, providing technical direction and career development support.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams to ensure seamless technology transfer and scale-up.
• Represent the process development team in project reviews and contribute to strategic planning for future R&D activities.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in chemical process R&D, with a strong track record of successful product commercialization.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and managing complex R&D projects.
• Expertise in process scale-up, optimization techniques, and troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge of various chemical reaction technologies and separation processes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
