Our client has an immediate opening for a highly skilled Lead Chemical Engineer in their Cardiff facility. This leadership position requires extensive experience in managing complex chemical engineering projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers, ensuring project success, and driving technical excellence across all operations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of chemical engineers, providing technical guidance and project oversight.
• Oversee the design, construction, and commissioning of new chemical plants and process modifications.
• Develop and implement advanced process control strategies to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Contribute to strategic planning and the development of long-term engineering goals for the company.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in the chemical industry, with significant leadership responsibilities.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale chemical projects .
• Expertise in process safety management (PSM) and risk assessment techniques.
• Strong knowledge of plant operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
