About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex chemical processes, from conceptualization through to detailed engineering and commissioning.
- Manage and mentor a team of chemical engineers, providing technical leadership, performance feedback, and professional development support.
- Develop and implement rigorous safety protocols and environmental management plans for all chemical operations, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
- Drive process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce operating costs, and improve product quality, utilizing advanced data analytics and modeling techniques.
- Oversee the technical aspects of capital projects, including process equipment selection, vendor management, and site installation support.
- Champion innovation by researching and recommending new technologies and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge in the chemical industry.
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional qualification in Chemical Engineering.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in process engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in process design, scale-up, and troubleshooting for a variety of chemical manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in process simulation software, P&ID development, and safety analysis techniques (e.g., HAZOP studies).
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and experience managing large-scale engineering projects.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a technical team effectively.
