About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Lead Chemical Process Engineer to spearhead process innovation and optimization efforts in Coventry . This is a crucial role responsible for leading a team of engineers and specialists in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of chemical manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of capital projects related to chemical process upgrades and new installations.
- Mentor and manage a team of chemical engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance process safety, environmental performance, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct detailed process analyses, identifying areas for improvement and proposing innovative solutions.
- Oversee HAZOP studies and other risk assessment activities for new and existing processes.
- Ensure effective handover of projects to operations and provide ongoing technical support.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering; Chartered Engineer status preferred.
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in chemical process engineering, with significant leadership responsibilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in process design, scale-up, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with process simulation tools and plant data analysis .
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and environmental legislation relevant to the chemical industry.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
