About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Lead Chemical Process Engineer to join their globally recognised team, operating in a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of large-scale chemical processes and manufacturing systems.
- Provide expert technical direction and oversight for process optimisation, debottlenecking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Mentor and guide a team of chemical engineers, fostering their technical growth and project delivery capabilities.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and project management teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and manage process documentation, including P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and operational manuals.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering .
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in chemical process engineering, with a strong track record of leading complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge of process design principles, scale-up methodologies, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Proven experience with process simulation software, P&IDs, and hazard analysis methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
