Lead Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Civil Engineer to spearhead significant infrastructure projects from a remote capacity. This senior position involves taking ownership of the technical direction and successful execution of complex civil engineering initiatives, including major transportation networks and urban development schemes. Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for large-scale civil infrastructure projects , including highways, drainage, and utilities.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and feasibility studies through to detailed design, construction, and handover.
• Develop and implement robust engineering solutions that meet technical, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and mentor a geographically dispersed team of civil engineers and technical specialists.
• Conduct rigorous risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for complex project challenges.
• Ensure adherence to quality control standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) status with a recognized professional institution.
• Over 10 years of proven experience in the design and management of major civil infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in geotechnical engineering , structural analysis, and hydraulic modelling.
• Proficiency with advanced BIM and CAD software , along with project management tools.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in managing remote teams and delivering projects without direct physical supervision.
