About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Civil Engineer to guide their engineering efforts in Newcastle upon Tyne . This hybrid role involves overseeing complex civil engineering projects, balancing hands-on design with strategic project leadership. You will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of our infrastructure and development initiatives, collaborating with both in-office and remote team members. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of major civil engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence.
- Manage project teams, providing mentorship and technical oversight to engineers and technicians.
- Develop and implement innovative engineering solutions for infrastructure challenges.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success and compliance.
- Conduct site visits and technical reviews as required, balancing office and remote responsibilities.
- Oversee the preparation of all necessary documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in civil engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- Strong expertise in structural design, transportation engineering, or water resources.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design and analysis software (e.g., Civil 3D, Revit MEP).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing office collaboration with remote work.
