Lead Clinical Research Associate

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Clinical Research Associate to oversee clinical trial activities within their Manchester -based operations. In this critical role, you will manage a team of CRAs, ensure adherence to study protocols, and maintain the highest standards of data quality and regulatory compliance. You will be instrumental in the successful execution of clinical studies, contributing to the development of life-changing pharmaceuticals. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of Clinical Research Associates, ensuring high performance and compliance.
• Oversee the initiation, monitoring, and close-out of clinical trial sites, ensuring adherence to GCP and regulatory guidelines.
• Review and approve site monitoring reports, identifying and resolving site issues promptly.
• Collaborate with study teams to develop and implement site management strategies.
• Ensure accurate and timely data collection, source document verification, and query resolution.
• Act as a primary point of contact for investigational sites and internal project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical research, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead CRA role.
• In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple clinical trials across various therapeutic areas.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
