About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and development of visual styles, characters, environments, and props for projects.
• Mentor and guide a team of concept artists, providing constructive feedback and ensuring high-quality output.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and other department leads to define artistic vision and ensure project alignment.
• Create high-quality concept art, illustrations, and mood boards to communicate ideas effectively.
• Establish and maintain art direction guidelines and ensure consistency across the team.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new tools, and techniques in concept art and digital illustration.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in concept art, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role within the arts and entertainment sector.
• A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating exceptional skill in character, environment, and prop design, with a strong sense of storytelling and mood.
• Expert proficiency in digital painting software such as Photoshop, Procreate, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, colour theory, and composition.
• Experience working with game engines or 3D software for visualization is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage and inspire a remote team.
