About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Concept Artist to spearhead the visual development of exciting new projects within their Leicester -based studio. You will be instrumental in defining and communicating the artistic direction, guiding a talented team of artists to translate imaginative ideas into compelling visual concepts for games and interactive media. Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop the overall visual style and aesthetic for new projects, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of concept artists, providing clear direction and constructive feedback.
- Create high-quality concept art, including character designs, environment layouts, and key-frame illustrations.
- Collaborate closely with game directors, art directors, and other stakeholders to iterate on designs and meet project goals.
- Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends and emerging artistic techniques to push creative boundaries.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Concept Artist, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or senior role.
- A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional artistic skill, creativity, and proficiency in digital painting.
- Expertise in industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop and Procreate .
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a creative team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate artistic vision clearly.
