About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and creative Lead Content Strategist to join their marketing team in Birmingham . You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with business goals, enhances brand visibility, and drives audience engagement. This role requires a deep understanding of content marketing, SEO, and audience segmentation, with a proven ability to lead projects from ideation to execution. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure content is compelling, accurate, and strategically deployed across all relevant channels, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and creative excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a data-driven content strategy across various platforms, including web, social media, and email marketing.
- Oversee the creation, editing, and optimization of high-quality content, ensuring it meets brand voice and SEO standards.
- Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify content opportunities and optimize for search engines.
- Manage a content calendar, coordinating with internal teams and external resources to ensure timely delivery.
- Analyze content performance metrics and use insights to refine strategies and improve engagement.
- Mentor and guide junior content creators and manage relationships with freelance writers and agencies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or a related digital marketing role.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing content strategies that drive measurable results.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles , keyword research, and content optimization techniques.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
