About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly experienced Lead Cybersecurity Analyst to join their dynamic team in Cambridge . This role is crucial for overseeing the organization's cybersecurity operations, ensuring the protection of its digital assets against an ever-evolving threat landscape. You will lead a team of analysts, provide expert analysis on security incidents, and contribute to the strategic development of security measures. Working from our Cambridge office, you will be at the heart of our security initiatives, driving best practices and ensuring robust defenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity analysts, fostering their technical and professional growth.
- Oversee real-time security monitoring and threat detection using advanced tools, including SIEM platforms.
- Manage and coordinate the response to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of security events, identifying patterns, and recommending proactive measures.
- Develop and refine security policies, procedures, and playbooks.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security controls and best practices across systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis , with at least 2 years in a lead role.
- Expertise in threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, EDR solutions, and other security monitoring technologies.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
