Lead Cybersecurity Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Cybersecurity Architect to join their established, fully remote security team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of secure enterprise-level architectures that protect against advanced threats. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise cybersecurity architectures.
• Develop and maintain security reference architectures and technology roadmaps.
• Evaluate and select appropriate security technologies and solutions to meet business needs.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices for cloud, network, and application security.
• Lead threat modeling exercises and risk assessments for new and existing systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business teams to embed security into the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a cybersecurity architecture role.
• Proven experience designing and implementing security solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Expert knowledge of network security, application security, data security, and identity and access management (IAM).
• Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
