About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead DevOps Engineer to enhance their infrastructure and deployment processes in Coventry . This role is crucial for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring the seamless, efficient, and secure delivery of applications. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and fostering a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work closely with talented engineers while maintaining flexibility, driving best practices in a key technology hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and testing.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure application performance and availability.
- Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Champion DevOps best practices, security, and compliance across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role, with a strong focus on infrastructure automation and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes .
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system administration.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead technical initiatives.
