Lead DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead their infrastructure and operations initiatives in Coventry . This leadership position involves architecting, implementing, and managing robust CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our client's cloud-based environments. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Develop and manage efficient CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering best practices and promoting a culture of collaboration.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues, providing timely resolutions in production environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and ensure operational readiness.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a DevOps Engineer , with demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure, or GCP.
• In-depth knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) and IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Proven experience in building and managing CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Excellent understanding of networking, security principles, and system administration.
