About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and innovative gaming studio located in Sunderland , is actively seeking a talented Lead Digital Artist to join their dedicated team. This crucial role involves overseeing the visual development of groundbreaking video game titles, ensuring a cohesive and compelling artistic vision across all assets. You will guide a team of artists, pushing the boundaries of digital art in the gaming industry and contributing to the creation of immersive worlds and unforgettable characters. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of digital artists, providing creative direction and technical guidance throughout the art development pipeline.
• Establish and maintain the overall art style and quality standards for game projects.
• Collaborate with game designers, programmers, and producers to integrate art assets seamlessly into game mechanics and environments.
• Create high-fidelity 3D models, textures, concept art, and other visual assets as needed.
• Conduct art reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure all art deliverables meet project deadlines and specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in game art development, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior artist role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional skill in 3D modeling, texturing, and environment art, with a focus on game development.
• Proficiency in industry-standard art creation tools such as Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Photoshop.
• Experience with game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for creating visually stunning games.
