Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process for renewable energy projects, from concept development through to detailed engineering and construction support.
• Develop single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, schematics, and equipment specifications for substations, grid connections, and internal power systems.
• Conduct detailed load flow , fault level, and protection studies using specialized software.
• Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers and designers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure project compliance and successful outcomes.
• Perform site assessments and provide technical guidance during the installation and commissioning phases of projects.

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Significant experience (10+ years) in electrical engineering design, with a substantial focus on the renewable energy sector.
• Expertise in grid connection standards and power system analysis for renewables.
• Proficiency with power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, DigSilent) and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Strong project management and leadership skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and environmental considerations in the UK energy market.
