About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Electrical Design Engineer to spearhead critical projects in Birmingham . This senior position involves taking ownership of the electrical design aspects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the complete lifecycle of electrical design projects, from initial concept to final handover.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers, fostering their technical growth and project delivery capabilities.
• Develop and implement innovative electrical solutions, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
• Conduct rigorous design reviews, risk assessments, and quality control checks for all electrical installations.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations managed effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the electrical engineering department, focusing on efficiency and technological advancements.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience (10+ years) in a senior or lead electrical engineering role.
• Expertise in designing complex electrical systems, including high-voltage distribution and renewable energy integration.
• Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing engineering teams and projects.
• In-depth knowledge of UK and international electrical engineering standards and building regulations.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
