About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Electrical Engineer to join their fully remote engineering division, working from anywhere in the UK. This critical role involves spearheading the electrical design aspects of our next-generation products, from conceptualization through to production. You will be the technical authority on electrical systems, responsible for setting design standards, mentoring a remote team of engineers, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex, high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the electrical architecture and design strategy for new product development.
- Lead and mentor a distributed team of electrical engineers, providing technical guidance and oversight.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of electrical component selection, design, simulation, and validation.
- Collaborate closely with remote product management, hardware, and software teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive electrical design documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
- Stay abreast of emerging electrical engineering technologies and propose innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in electrical engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing high-performance analog and digital circuits, power management, and embedded systems.
- Proficiency with advanced simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE variants).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills, particularly in a remote setting.
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
